About
HTTP Request Overrides & API Mocker is a developer tool that allows developers to intercept, inspect, override and mock HTTP requests and responses while developing and testing web applications.
Data Processing
The extension processes HTTP requests and responses locally inside the user's browser only to apply rules explicitly configured by the user.
The developer never receives, stores, monitors or has access to intercepted network traffic.
Information We Collect
Our philosophy is simple: we don't collect your data. The extension does NOT collect:
- Personal information
- Financial information
- Authentication credentials
- Communications
- Location data
- Analytics
- Telemetry
- Browsing history
- User activity tracking
The extension only accesses request and response data locally when required to provide the functionality explicitly requested by the user.
Local Storage
The extension stores only the user's own configuration using Chrome Extension Storage APIs. Examples include:
- Request override rules
- Mock responses
- Extension preferences
No request or response data is uploaded to external servers.
Remote Code
The extension does not download, execute or evaluate remote code. All executable code is packaged inside the Chrome extension and delivered securely through the Chrome Web Store.
Third Parties
We respect your privacy and independence. The extension:
- Does not sell user data.
- Does not share user data with third parties.
- Does not use advertising services.
- Does not use analytics providers.
- Does not track users.
User Control
Users remain fully in control. They can:
- Enable or disable the extension.
- Create, edit or delete override rules.
- Clear all locally stored configuration.
- Uninstall the extension at any time.
Security
All processing happens locally inside the browser. The developer never receives intercepted requests or responses, ensuring your development data remains secure on your own machine.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension changes or if required by applicable laws. We encourage you to review it periodically.
